Howdy all. First off, I must thank all of you for your very kind words & support. It is greatly appreciated. You are all so very sweet, such wonderfull blessings in my life.
Work was INSANE today. Very, very busy. We had 3 euthanasias (at least that I know of, there might have been 1 or 2 more), I was in on 2. The second one I was fine with until the dog started licking my arm right before she passed. That was really hard. There was a reason for that, I know it. I'm just waiting to see what & why...
Al, Doreen's fiancee, worked on the truck for me today. He took off the wood brace from the bed (Yea!!!!), he put in my stereo & some temporary speakers until I buy some & he tucked the wiring away. She looks SOOOOOOOOOOOOO good
I am so happy, I really feel like she's coming along. I've got a lot of OT coming up, too, which should help. I would love it if I could have her ready to show next season. That would rock the free world (and many parts of the not-so-free world
).
We had a funny thing happen at work. This priest/pastor was walking into the hospital during our lunch break. As he's walking by, Carol is talking about shooting one of our co-workers right between the eyes! The window in our room which he walked by (as she was saying this) was open & ironically, Carol happens to be a good Lutheran & was trying to be good for Good Friday
Later, the priest is in the waiting room waiting to pick up his pet, and he asks if anyone has a blue pick up. So, I go out to him & told him I do & asked why. Turns out, he parked behind me & just wanted to make sure he didn't block any one in. Mind you, however, I'm wearing a V-neck scrub top with my pentacle blantantly showing in the v-neck! And, of course, my truck being a white trash-lesbian truck, it has the sticker of the naked lady silhouette. I can only imagine what that priest must have been thinking about the staff! LOL. We all had a good chuckle out of that one!

Just some quick replies
...
Franckie, I agree. I always recommend Scott Cunningham's books, he is my personal favorite author. I find his books to be very easy to read & laid back & open to all perspectives. And, thank you so much for your kind words. That was so very sweet, it really means a lot to me. Oh, and you're never too old for a piercing or tattoo
Do tell me more about that training in Japan, that sounded REALLY interesting, I'd love to hear more about it.
Tabby, you & I are the complete opposites
Give me a tattoo any day, if I even so much as scratch myself, I turn into a whiney baby
I, too, had problems with my ears, so I do really want to consider this eyebrow piercing thoroughly, but I have wanted one for a year or 2 now, and my "craving" has just gotten so unbelievably strong recently. I think I told you this before, too, that the tattoos are SUCH a self-esteem booster. They haved helped me in so many ways. It's difficult to describe, but they are such a good thing for me.
MJ07, First off, thank you for subscribing to my site. I'm going to check yours out after this
No, this is not my first tattoo, it is my 13th (although I have been "Inked" several more times: re-touches, additions, etc.). Some tats I decided on the spot, the piece/flash really reached out to me (they ALL have meanings to me), some I worked on with my artist & we came up with original work. My latest piece which only just got finished 2 weeks ago, was just drawn on me on the spot by Lynn, my artist. We had been planning one thing, and then she told me that it just wouldn't look right, and she drew this incredible piece on me & we did it (took 3 sittings). This next piece will be a giant animal piece on my back, with various animal portraits/silhouettes on my back, integrating the sword & waxwing (bird) piece as well as my veterinary cadeusus. It represents not only my work with all kinds of animals, but also my connection, that all life forms are connected/related. This one is going to take a while, but it means a lot, so it's worth it. It is very important to get a tattoo that has some kind of meaning to you. If you do end up getting one consider these few things: Location. Any place with more muscle or fat will hurt less than directly on the bone. Scar tissue can hurt pretty badly, too. Color takes longer to heal than black & grey. It's also important, moreso with color, but really for all tattoos, to exfoliate gently & moisturize. I try to apply Vitamin E or shea butter to my tattoos at least once a month. They all look new, they held their color so well because of that. If you do get a piece, good luck!
Speaking of tattoos, so long as I remember this time, I'll bring my pictures to my mom's & scan them on Sunday & post them Sunday night or Monday. Like I said, I don't have pics of all the pieces, but I have most. I'll add in the descriptions too, so you understand each one.
Well, that's it for now. Gotta feed Akh & myself & I have a couple of cute ladies from Curve waiting for me to return their e-mails
Have a great night, everyone. Much love & many blessings!
