Hi everyone. I don’t have much time, I need to head back to work in about 10 minutes. I worked my usual 8-3, but I’m covering someone tonight from 5 to 8:30, so I need to get back soon. Thank you all for the very sweet & supportive words. It really does mean the world to me. I used Apartmentguide, and I have gone through one other website & have one more to go. Currently, I have about 30 complexes on my list. And I’m not hurting for potential jobs either. All I can do is hope that on Friday, the doctor tells me it’s a neuroma & he sends me to the hand specialist & I find out then how much time off/rehab I’ll need, if any. I’ve never wanted something to be so dramatic and drastic, only so that I can drive to spend more than a few hours with my best friend & find a potential future for myself. It all has yet to be determined….We shall see. I’ve encountered a ton of butterflies (which represent change & growth) lately. One flew right in front of & then around the truck, while I was in it, on the phone with Lauren discussing work/jobs, etc. I’m trying to remain calm & grounded by I do tend to get extremely optimistic & even dreamy, especially with a sign like that.

I’m doing a peace & beauty ritual for myself. For me to grow & improve as a person. To find peace within myself, to not obsess so much, but to let go & let things run their course. For me to relax, to find beauty within myself & the world around me. I need that in general, but especially in cases like this potential move.
I do want to ask quickly, what do owls represent? I woke up at 4:30 this morning for no reason (no loud noises, no need to pee, the kitten didn’t wake me up, etc.), and then I heard an owl. The stereotypical owl hooting you hear in the movies. At first I thought I had to be wrong, because I believe that owls screech. But it hooted over & over, and it wasn’t like a mourning dove hoot/cry, it was definetly owl. Unfortunately, I cannot find my one good book on animal symbology, totems, spirit guides, etc., so I don’t know what they represent, what message Goddess & God were trying to get across to me. I knew as soon as I heard the first hooting that God & Goddess wanted me to hear & experience that, there was a message behind it. Now I need to decipher it. If anyone can help me, I’d greatly appreciate it.
Well, my 10 minutes are up. Take care, everyone. I’ll catch up with all of you later. Much love & many blessings!

I am glad you are taking some time for yourself. If we are not taking care of our self how can we work out other stuff in our lives.
Regarding the owl according to my husbands tribe (he is Native American). The owl is the messenger. Some other tribes believe that owl is an omen of death. I see an owl evertime I do Shamanic journeying he guides me. He shows me things that I usually don’t see. As I call it the swift kick in the ass that I need to pay attention. If he or she show themselves again. Look around see whats really going on. This is true in this plane and in the astral.
Good Luck

Thanks. Good luck on finding an apartment. Everyone needs a change of scenery every now and then.
Hello, thanks for stopping by to see me. Sorry I haven’t been by in awhile, but I have just needed some ME time and in doing that, I just haven’t visited too much of anyone in the last few days. I am hoping to get back into the groove in the next day or so.
I normally have a link for games and such when I talk about them, but last night I had a brain freeze and spaced putting in the links. So, here you go. Theme Hospital & Trailer Park Tycoon !
As for the owl thing, I found the following on the INternet. I hope it helps.
Good luck apartment hunting. Take care and have a fab Thursday! :lip_kiss:
Owl
dream interpretation
meaning of dream
It is another symbol for the unconscious. It usually represents wisdom and virtue, and your unconscious may be giving you important massages, so pay attention to the details in the dream. In the American Indian tradition, the owl is considered to be the eagle of the night. Dreaming about owls is a powerful dream, which may indicate that changes are on the way. Superstition based dream interpretations suggest that dreaming about an owl is a negative omen, which indicates a reversal in good fortune. An owl in the house predicts family arguments and chasing it away might cause things to work out for the best.
The owl represents different things depending on the culture. I’ll just rattle off all the ones I know/looked up and let you sort from there. *grin*
The owl is connected to Athena in Greek mythology–hence the belief of the owl as a wise bird. For Athenians, being that Athena was their patron goddess, the owl was a protector symbol. (If an owl flew over Athenian troops it was a harbringer of victory).
The screeching of the Barn Owl is a harbringer of death in British folklore–especially if heard outside a sick person’s house. (Sounds suspiciously like a branch-off of the Celtic bhean sidhe cry, if you ask me.) In Cherokee legends as well, I’ve heard, the Barn Owl was a sickness-bringer. But I have that thirdhand–my knowlege is usually limited to the European.
Australian aboriginal tribes believe that bats represent the souls of men and owls represent the souls of women. (What does that say about some owl species that eat bats?!) Several other cultures say that if a pregnant woman, while alone, hears an owl hooting it means her child will be a girl. So the owl is a feminine symbol as well.
The Hebrew belief is that owls represent desolation. In Isaiah 34:11, when prophecying the future destruction of the nation of Edom, it predicts that, “The desert owl and screech owl will possess it;
the great owl and the raven will nest there.”
So you’ve got Protection, Impending Danger, Femininity, Wisdom, and/or Desertion.
